Vet Tech Conference

I attended the Friday session of the Southwest Veterinary Symposium in Fort Worth yesterday. It was a little bittersweet for me, I really miss working at the zoo. Or to be completely honest I miss the animals, and some of the people. Others I could cheerfully run over with a backhoe and not feel the tiniest bit of remorse.
I stopped and talked for a minute with the director of RSVP which is a relief services provider. Kinda like a temp service for vets and vet techs. She mentioned that she had a position open at the Fort Worth zoo that they were having trouble filling because they didn't have anyone with any zoo experience on their roster. So I asked her to send me the information and application.
It's a three day a week thing, so I'm going to seriously consider it.
