We're home. Las Vegas was fun, but I'm very happy to be home. I think I have a limit on the amount of time I enjoy spending away, before I just miss the house and animals too much. I'm not much of a gambler, on the first night we played nickel slots and I won $250 on a machine called Code Red. We played a few more times, but never managed to equal that win. At least I came out on top! Dave thought about trying some of the table games, but just never did, inertia I guess.
On the big day (10/22) Kim and I made appointments for hair, makeup and nails at the hotel salon. We were staying at Circus, Circus so I was a little surprised that their salon was so pretentious. Called Aimee of Paris it offered a full range of services for enormous prices. A manicure was $25, I'm used to it being around $9 at home (not including tip). Oh, well it was for the wedding, so I sucked it up. $176 (not including tip) later, my hair was hairsprayed and rolled and pinned within an inch of its life, my nails were polished and my makeup was caked on. I hardly ever wear makeup, so when a woman followed me out of the salon to say she thought I wasn't wearing enough, and if I wanted to come up to her room in a half hour to be "fixed up" I politely declined.
Here's a photo of the do:

Our wedding was at Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapels. We have it internet archived, so if you'd like to see the ceremony, it's on this page, middle column almost all the way down, under D. Borne. They also have the official wedding photos, you can look at the online album here.
Dave's mom also took a few photos, once she figured out my camera:
This is the gazebo, with Kim and Steve, waiting for us to arrive

And this is one of us, I had to lighten it up a little, so the color isn't that great

And here's a really blurry one of the inside of the limo. I was completely fascinated by the lighted ceiling

Tonight we're taking the dogs to Greyfest 2005, to hang out with their buddies. It will be so weird to introduce Dave as my husband, instead of boyfriend or fiance.
One more picture, on a crafty note. As promised, Marquoir Story is finished:
